Jack Antonoff Talks Time with MIT Professor David Kaiser

  • Museum Of Science Museum Of Science Driveway Boston, MA, 02114 United States (map)

Attend this live podcast recording of Sing For Science featuring a conversation between 11-time Grammy award-winning producer and musician Jack Antonoff in conversation with David Kaiser, Germeshausen professor of the history of science and professor of theoretical physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Antonoff and Kaiser will discuss the nature of time from Kaiser’s perspective as a theoretical physicist, drawing connections to the lyrics of Bleachers’ song “The Waiter,” in which Jack sings about “the notion that time’s gonna stop” and “the notion that time’s on a slip.”

Hosted by the Museum of Science on Monday, June 10 at 1:00 pm.

Tickets are $25 for General Admission and $20 for Obstructed View seating.

“I’m thrilled to be back at the Museum of Science and to dig into one of the most fascinating puzzles of our age: Does time emerge from deeper principles of physics or does human biology and consciousness” said Matt Whyte, creator and host of Sing for Science. “Broader questions like these bridge the gap between everyday human experience and incredibly complex science. That Jack Antonoff, one of the busiest and most important figures in music today is drawn to this topic speaks volumes about the science’s capacity to engage us.”
